Fractures in children do?

CHENG asked: our children 5 years old, are particularly good, falls on the stairs a few days ago, without breaking the skin, is a local swelling, pain, get medical help are fractures. I\'m worried about, would like to know what performance fracture, also should pay attention to what diet after fracture.

A: fracture is a bone and cartilage due to injuries and loss of continuity or completeness. Performance: pain, tenderness, pain activities; local swelling, ecchymosis; dysfunction; malformations, abnormal activity (also known as the false joints); sense of fricative of bone or bone to clean. Shock may occur in severe cases. Two types of fractures: a skin is not broken, no wounds, broken bones are not communicating with the outside world is called closed fracture. Open fracture of one, that is, tip of the bones out of the skin, wounds, broken bones or communicates with the outside world. Because children are not explicitly providing history, sometimes not clinical manifestations, which may be missed. So parents need to be aware than activity in children, and when the physical skeletal pain, is required to consider whether there is a fracture, timely treatment.

Diet, should be appropriate to increase the calcium rich foods such as milk and milk products, and kelp, shrimp, seaweed, sea products such as dried fish FLOSS; bean and green leafy vegetables, and so on. Fermentation of pasta are also conducive to the absorption of calcium. In addition if recurring fractures in children, be aware there are other diseases, such as cancer, vitamin deficiency and endocrine disorders, skeletal anomalies, etc. Should promptly to provide the appropriate history, early diagnosis and treatment.
